Agriculture and Non-Ag Burn Regulations

Burn season may be open, but regulations are still in place.

Burn season may be open for agricultural burning, but regulations are still in place. High wind days may force the Department of Ecology to suspend burning for the day. Regardless of the Department of Ecology, common sense should always be used when burning ag debris: if Ecology closes burning, burning is closed; and if winds pick up, it’s not the time to burn.

Chelan County Fire District 1 has already begun responding to brush fires this season, which can be prevented.
