Fire Chief
Fire Chief Brian Brett is a 30-year member of the fire service in our community. Chief Brett grew up in East Wenatchee, graduating from Eastmont High School. He continued his education at Wenatchee Valley College and Central Washington University, obtaining a degree in Fire Service Administration and Accounting followed by becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Currently, Brian is taking classes at Rutgers University pursuing a Master’s in Governmental Accounting.
Brian grew up in a family run business, Brett & Son Delivery Service, where he developed a great appreciation for what it takes to succeed in the business environment. He also learned how important customer service is to the community.
Brian has been serving as the Chief of Chelan County Fire District 1 since 2018. Currently, Brian is also serving as the Chief of Douglas County Fire District 2 while the option of becoming a Regional Fire Authority is considered by the voters on the August 2, 2022, ballot.
Brian really appreciates the outdoor recreation our community offers, the variety of local dining options and visiting with family and friends.
Chief Brett feels incredibly blessed to be a part of the fire service in the community where he was raised. He continually expresses his gratitude for the mentorship he has received from his predecessors as the District expands to meet the rapidly growing demand for services provided by the Fire District.
