Determination of Non-Significance - 731 N. Wenatchee Avenue, Wenatchee PURSUANT TO RCW 43.21C AND WAC 197-11-340(2), NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on October 31, 2018, Chelan County Fire District 1 did issue a determination of nonsignificance with a 14-day comment period and will not act on the proposal for 14 days from the date of above, relative to the environmental impact of the following described proposal. Fire Station 13 - Open House

Saturday, December 1, 11:00 am - 3:00 pm 1836 S. Mission Avenue, Wenatchee The Fire District will host an Open House at Fire Station 13 to give the community a chance to walk through the newly constructed station at the base of Squilchuck Road. The station was funded with a Community Development Block Grant and replaces a small, cinder-block station constructed in the 1970's. Volunteers will continue responding from Fire Station 13 until a new downtown fire station is complete (at the former Prospector Pies location) in late 2019. At that time Fire Station 13 will have full-time staffing.

The 2018 Fire Prevention Week campaign, “Look. Listen. Learn. Be aware. Fire can happen anywhere,” works to educate people about three basic but essential steps to take to reduce the likelihood of having a fire––and how to escape safely in the event of one: LOOK Look for places fire could start.
