[endif]--Over the past year and a half we have put a strong focus on educating and empowering our community to take action before the smoke is in the air. Often we find that awareness is not the issue preventing needed property maintenance, rather time, aesthetics, cost, physical ability or simply knowing who to call can inhibit action. The WSU Master Gardener Program and Fire District 1 have partnered to offer local landscape professionals an opportunity to learn ways to reduce wildfire risk to homes. Our hope is that offering this course to the local workforce will result in new approaches to landscape maintenance and design in wildfire prone areas. We invite your company to attend a free, fire-resistant landscape seminar. Upon completion of the seminar, your company will be added to our roster of professionals with knowledge of wildfire behavior and practices to reduce wildfire risk.
